When it says it protect your privacy and data but it not ,you have to understand in a given circumstances authority might seek or request your data for scrutinize from whatsapp, facebook, twitter, Instagram, personal messaging app. Now that being said and done, one may argue what about the claim that messages are encrypted at the end of the day.
